A digital platform will make this easier. We are working with NARIC-Lithuania on a digital platform to make it easier to compare higher education diplomas from the Baltic States and Benelux. This cooperation is part of the "DIGI-AR project", or "Digital Tools for Implementation of Automatic Recognition". This will make it easier for you as an applicant to work or study in both regions.
Benefits for you as an applicant
The digital platform contains shared information between the Benelux and Baltic countries, which:
- You yourself can look up in the digital platform to what extent your Flemish diploma corresponds to a diploma from the Baltic States or vice versa
- An employer can immediately see via a comparability statement in the platform what level your diploma or education is. As a result, no additional equivalence procedures are needed.
Extra information for employers
Your Flemish diploma will automatically be recognized in the Baltic region and vice versa, but your employer will still have the need for information about your education system. This information will be provided in a digital platform accessible to both regions. Other information that will be available is about the courses you took, the comparability of diploma(s), your rights as a diploma holder and the status of the institution that awarded your diploma.
Who else is involved in the project?

The project will run from 1 February 2023 to 31 January 2025.
